Missions
Projects
-
ARMENIAN MISSIONARY ASSOCIATION CHILD SPONSORSHIP: We continue
to sponsor a needy child through the A.M.A.A. As we have done in
the past, banks will distributed to the children to be taken home and filled.
One bank per family will be passed out.
-
SAMARITAN’S PURSE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: This is organized
each year by Samaritan’s Purse whose president is Franklin Graham (son
of Billy Graham). Our kids and their families are encouraged to participate
by taking a simple shoe box and filling it with a variety of gifts (hygiene
items, toys, school supplies, etc…). Information regarding this project
will be distributed in October. Through this project, we have the
opportunity to reach out to needy children around the world. Operation
Christmas Child isn’t just about distributing shoe boxes to needy children.
It’s also about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with them through
Christian literature that Samaritan’s Purse distributes with each shoe
box.
-
ARMENIAN MISSIONARY ASSOCIATION CHILD CHRISTMAS PACKAGES:
Based on Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, A.M.A.A. has a similar
project to Armenia. Items such as hygiene supplies, school
supplies, toys, etc.. are put into one gallon size ziplock bags and
sent to Armenia to be given to needy children at Christmas. This
will be our first mission project this year. Start date is September
29th. We will have a list of items needed. Each family can
sign-up to bring one or more items to church. Our Sunday School kids
will be packing the ziplock bags. All items must be brought to church
the latest by October 13th.
